Here's "What I used to be Carrying"... A simple black skirt from Talbot's, a inexperienced shantung silk blouse from who-knows-where (undoubtedly from a Southern store although), my pearls, and a cute petite Ferragamo pocketbook.

I love this little Ferragamo would not hold a lot...however it's tres cute!
My trusty Ferragamo pumps (I promise I do have other sneakers y'all...), gold Rolex watch, pearl earrings and bracelet, and my Cartier wedding ceremony band.Let's go inside for tea...within the Lobby Lounge of the Ritz. Evidently, everything is beautifully appointed down to the last detail! Afternoon Tea on the Ritz-Carlton is a ritual steeped in tradition for the reason that resort opened in 1985. Tea is served utilizing fantastic Wedgewood china, decorated in the delicate "India" pattern. Each element of the service and its presentation is attended to with the utmost care to make sure that each experience on the Ritz becomes a treasured memory. After all, there was a pianist playing delicate music on the baby grand...just perfect for Afternoon Tea. Now y'all know this gentleman never tires of watching all of the prissy ladies strolling via the Foyer of the Ritz!

The straightforward, but elegant tablesetting. Discover the crisp white linens, and that the cup handle is placed within the 4 o'clock place and the fold of the napkin is closest to the plate. I selected to take the standard Tea Service, which consisted of freshly steeped loose leaf tea and a choice of dainty tea sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and fruit tartlets and pastries. Two teas were served whith this service--the very professional server Dominique instructed the Vanilla Rooibos and i selected the Thunderbolt Darjeeling. The Rooibos is a caffeine-free herbal infusion, not a tea. The vanilla beans gave the rooibos simply the appropriate sweet style. The Darjeeling (champagne of teas) was a really brisk tea with a hint of muscatel. Here is the tiered tea tray with all the goodies...only for Miss Janice! Whereas having fun with my tea, I practiced each dining etiquette rule I've ever identified and I have to say, it was so good to be surrounded by others who were doing the identical! It goes with out saying...there have been no pinkies raised in this place! source for this article has their own emblem of the lion and crown on the tea tray! , a must for Afternoon tea... Devonshire cream and fruit preserves were served with the scones and although I did not style the preserves...aren't the little containers simply too cute! Now y'all know I merely must award the Ritz-Carlton "5 Silver Spoons." Thank you to the waitstaff in your impeccable customer service!
